"I loved hearing the writing of others - and the poems Kay interspersed."
"Kay provides wonderful advice on ways to jumpstart writing. Her tips and examples for getting ideas on paper made the class worthwhile."
"I loved this course...Kay has a great way of making it both comfortable and challenging."

Like Anais Nin, we all live our lives in layers, and we each have an interesting life story to tell. Filled with actual occurrences, unexpected discoveries, rich relationships, and emotional truths, the memoir provides a way to reflect on life, make sense of it, and share the human experience with others. But what if you can't remember certain events, what do you include and what don't you, and where do you start?
Join us for the 9th annual women's writing retreat at Benet Pines. Over six days we will deepen into the stories that have shaped us. Morning and evening group process time will bracket spacious afternoons left open to work on your own memoir, walk the outdoor labyrinth and meditation trails, or have individual sessions with Kay.
Tuition for the retreat is $575, plus $275 lodging in comfortable shared rooms. There is a surcharge of $75 for a single room, on a space-available, first-come basis. A $300 deposit will hold your place.
Kay Adams is a master teacher and facilitator of therapeutic writing and women's group process. She has taught this class at the University of Denver and privately.
Space is limited to 10 and is by application only. Call 303-986-6460 or email KAdamsRPT @ aol.com to indicate your interest. Once accepted, a $300 nonrefundable deposit will hold your space. You will fly into/out of Colorado Springs.
